EPA Program
In November of 2008 the EPA gave Truck Stop Events a grant to bring out some of the information concerning air pollution in the trucking industry. They also wanted us to inform companies and drivers that there are alternatives to long periods of truck idling. Some of the alternatives we will discuss in 2008 will be the APU and marine battery packages.
One of the main topics in the EPA program is to educate and inform the drivers about the possible health risk drivers face when they idle their truck for a long periods of time.
Truck Stop Events does not make sales or commissions from the EPA or the manufactures on the products listed in the SmartWay program or the Walk A Mile America program. Any and all products are donated to help the consumer get the best viewing of non truck idling products on the market today.
With part 2 of the grant we will explain the government programs that are available through different finance companies. The companies and drivers can then apply right on site for different low interest programs.
With part 3 of the grant we will hand out additional information on the studies done on truck idling by different universities. We will also give them a list of all manufactures of non idling products and a credit application.
