How our program works
From the second they wake up, the truck driving consumer is bombarded by the advertising media. From truck sales to truck jobs, bill boards to vans selling wares in the parking lot, the list can go on and on.

   Not a day goes by that something - NEW - from games to radios, shirts to vitamins, cell phones to espresso coffee will be advertised to them. It has become an advertising media monster through out the United States. Companies are falling all over themselves to get in to the truck driver market.
   We as a non-profit company can understand why. After all; there are over 3.5 million drivers out there. If you add on, 1 wife, 2 kids, a mother and father, sister and brother, plus a dispatcher, you now have - over 28 million - customers.
   Sell just -1 - ten dollar item to them this year and you now have 280 million dollars in sales from a specific market. Thats something even I could live with.

In November of 2007 Truck Stop Events will start the first Truck Company / Truck Driver walking program called --- WALK-A- MILE- AMERICA.
We would like all companies to join us and set up our program threw them so that not only can the drivers learn to walk, but we can now have company completions for HEALTH.
In the last few years, I have watched more and more "health" companies come into the trucking industry. Everyone wants to talk about driver’s health, but when asked, will they tell you it’s about drivers HEALTH or the 30 billion dollars our society spends on health each year.
Five years ago, I was telling the trucking industry that there are some serious health problems showing up in our drivers. Five years ago NO one listened.
As the time passed we have become the leader in driver’s health information. We have more facts on the trends, habits and the health problems drivers are facing than anyone.
Our information is over 92% accurate, and we believe we will always get this type of information because of these reasons.
1 WE DO NOT SHARE INFORMATION TO ANYONE!!! The drivers know this
2 We are always in front of the drivers, even at 9 PM in the parking lot with our tour
3 The drivers have seen us at truck stops for over 5 years
4 We are a Non- Profit company, and the drivers know it, none of our staff was paid last
    year, or this year, not even next year. We count on the support of friends and companies to get
     the information out
5 We do not sell them any thing; we give all our information out for FREE
We have not changed in the last years on what we do. We see -1- driver at a time, give the information to him or her. Offer the testing for their ears, eyes. Check for diabetes, blood pressure and if they need medical help get it to them. Its that simple.
