Company History 2
From March of 2004 through December of 2005 -
I spent more than 50% of my time at all the truck shows in the US. I began getting in front of all the major marketing and public relations people in the trucking industry. I began to inform them that there is a health crisis on the horizon and we need to get the correct information out to the companies and the drivers. To my surprise I got a lot of verbal support, even thou people did not like to talk about real life issues. The big surprise came when I called back a week later and got a lot more verbal support, but no funding.

Health was not a high advertising or marketing priority.

December, 2005 through December, 2006 -
Was the best year one could hope for and even with three out of five companies still not understanding the up comming health issues, it was companies like Western Star Truck Corporation, Truck Stops of America, Perkins Specialized and a company called udderlysmooth (Redex) that gave me the encouragement to go forward. It was their wiliness to sponsor our program that made me continue, and
I can not thank them enough.

January 2006 Truck Stop Events International became an incorporated - non-profit health information and research company. To my knowledge, we are the only non-profit company that deals directly with truck drivers and their health.

This year we have over 537,154 drivers that know of our health tour and the problem they are facing with their long hours of work, poor eating habits, and high stress job situations. We believe over 1,500,000 saw the tour truck.

In 2006 most companies now know, that their driver turn over will not come from drivers leaving or looking for a new job, but drivers who can not pass the DOT standards because of their poor health.

We need all companies that are associated with the industry to become Ambassadors for the health of the drivers. We should not care what the company does, who they are, or how many drivers they need, because If we don't unite and address the health problem, It will come down too,

                                                                  OVER THE ROAD DRIVER SURVIVE?
